More Culture, Less Shock
How bland would existence be without the richness provided by different cultures?
Being thankful for other cultures makes for a more interesting, enriching, and harmonious experience, both individually and collectively.
The differences in language, national cuisine and couture, architecture and music create a smorgasbord of enjoyable choices and enable us to learn more about ourselves as we find our "tribe" of people who share our tastes and interests. Exposure to diverse customs and traditions opens our minds in a way that often helps us better appreciate our own heritage and values.
More than anything, exploring and embracing new cultures helps us be more accepting and empathetic. It serves to break down societal barriers and bring the citizens of the world together while celebrating uniqueness. This helps us dismantle stereotypes, challenge biases, and reduce misunderstandings that can lead to conflict. Not to mention, it makes for a stronger global economy, especially as applies to travel.
